Young soloists and the Orchestra of the Finnish National Opera come together in an unforgettable evening of opera, combining the elegance of the great classics with the powerful emotional expression of the art form. The programme takes the audience from Rossini’s energetic overture to La Gazza Ladra, through celebrated arias by Verdi and Puccini performed by outstanding soloists, to Mozart’s humorous bass solos. In the duets and ensembles, audiences will hear highlights including Bernstein’s Tonight and the famous Flower Duet from Delibes’ Lakmé. The evening culminates in Verdi’s celebrated quartet “Bella figlia dell’amore” from Rigoletto.
